Have you ever tried to write down 3 things you're thankful for in one week? A few years ago, inspired by an encouragement I found on the internet for the new year, I started giving it a try. The advice was to write down for each week of the year, 1 thing you were grateful for, and put it in a glass jar. With the start of next year, every notes from the previous year would be read. I don't know about you, but for me it was difficult at first as I kept writing the same things.
